Are you a Texas state student who has produced Video and audio packages for classes? Well then you’ll be excited to learn about the upcoming Student Media Arts Exhibition. The Student Media Arts Exhibition is an opportunity for Texas state students to have their work reviewed by professionals in the industry and receive prizes for their hard work. If you have made a podcast, news package or any type of Media content for a class feel free to submit it to the exhibition as you never know, you may just win the whole thing, and even if you don’t you will still meet industry professionals and build contacts for your future.

We spoke with Doctor Youjeong Kim a professor with the school of journalism and Mass Communication at Texas state and the person responsible for putting together this event. We wanted to learn what inspired her to create this event for her students.

The deadline for submissions is March 22nd but maybe subject to change so be sure to get your submissions in before it’s too late. For more information on the event and what the 7 categories are visit sjmc.txst.edu/student-media-arts-exhibition-smtx.html or scan the QR code to be taken straight to the website.
